The Most Instagrammable Places in South West France
South West France is one of our favorite summer holiday destinations. As always, we look for Insta-worthy spots and Instagrammable places and there are many of those in South West France. The beaches on the Atlantic Coast are beautiful and the sunsets are amazing. You can find many cute villages in the country side of South West France and, as the region is famous for its wine, lots of vineyards. In this blog post, we’re sharing all the Instagrammable places in South West France and maybe we’re inspiring you to visit the region as well.
Montalivet-les-Bains
Our favorite village to stay in South West France is Montalivet-les-Bains. It’s a small village on the Atlantic Coast with an amazing beach, cute little houses and large pine tree forests. Read more about our camping experience in Montalivet-les-Bains here.

Skate Park in Vendays-Montalivet
There are skate parks in almost every village in South West France. We love going to the skate park in Vendays-Montalivet to skate and take photos.
Verdon-sur-Mer
In Verdon-sur-Mer you can find a cute little lighthouse which is a perfect backdrop for photos. The lighthouse is also close to the ferry that crosses the Gironde to arrive in Royan.
Lamarque
Lamarque is a small and cute village in the country side of South West France. Lamarque is surrounded by many vineyards and we even foun a cute windmill. The borders along the Gironde are filled with small fisherman’s huts, which is a pretty sight to see. Of course we had to take some photos here as well!
Bordeaux
Bordeaux is the main large city in South West France and is home to many Instagrammable place. Click here to find out about the most Instagrammable places in Bordeaux.
Other places worth visiting in the area are Arcachon Bay and Dune du Pilat.
